"I cannot forget where I come from nuh amount a money can change man…" was the message Baby Cham preached and demonstrated in deeds as he launched the Giving back Campaign at Early Monday at Standpipe on Monday, June 12. Cham entered the community greeting all present at the venue.
On being introduced he took the crowd back to hits such as Que Sera and Many Many which created a hype for the promotion for his new single Rude Boy Pledge on the stage riddim produced by Dave Kelly. Pinchers and Spice accompanied him and added their flavour to the performance. His audience included the likes of Frass Krew, Progressive Ladies & Kingston 6 Rekords.
"Celebrity Tuesdays in Papine on Tuesday, June 13 was the next venue to continue the filming of a documentary on Baby Cham and to promote Rude Boy Pledge. Vibe Magazine s Rob Kenner was present to enjoy the music. His performance was met with much enthusiasm from the audience.
Weddy Weddy Wednesdays on June 14 at the Stone Love HQ, Burlington Avenue and Hype Fridays on June 16 at Sherlock, Duaney Park saw Cham not only giving back lyrically but also giving out parcels containing basic food items and Guinness to the patrons. The latter ended pre-maturely but not before the hype had set in along with the distribution of the new five track Madhouse Records CD on the Stage Show Rhythm which includes singles from Baby Cham feat. Akon, Spice, Pinchers and Assassin.
He brought the same vibe he has been spreading all week long to Sample Saturdays in Barbican and Gabba Sunday in Nannyville on Saturday, June 17 and Sunday, June 18 respectfully.
