Biography

Jamaica-s newest dancehall sensation Bramma, born Lloyd Horace Brammer to Lloyd and Murna Brammer, is labeled by Bounty Killer himself as the newest and youngest member of the Alliance at 19 years old. Born and raised in some of Kingston-s- toughest communities Waterhouse and Mayfield with his mother, at an early age he was exposed to music by his father who had a sound called " Riddim Force" and his uncle who plays in Capleton-s, band, the Dancehall King of Fire.

Bramma had dreams of becoming a lawyer due to his love of reading and also through the motivation of his teacher at Calabar High School in Kingston where he graduated with four subjects at the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) level. He was a good student but later had a change of heart of becoming an attorney, when at age 14 he saw his dj idol performing and was intrigue by the love he received from the audience of a few thousands. Back then, he had no idea that one-day he would not only meet him but also that his career would be greatly influenced and guided by one of Jamaica-s most influential Dancehall artiste Rodney Price a.k.a. Bounty Killer. "Bounty Killer is like a mentor to me, this artiste takes time out each day to motivate young DJs, he really inspire me, he taught me how to be more confident and to note good stage delivery and movement as well as stay focus...He even advise me on how to get on top of my game"

Bramma-s career got its first professional boost when he met Sophia McKay of New Image Promotion while he was still in school. At the tender age of 15 years old he recorded his first song called "Flossing" which was produced by UIM Productions, Bramma-s first studio experience was exciting but his delivery was unsatisfactory. Sophia then introduces him to Leftside and Esco. The duo took him in and groomed him, taught him a thing or two before their hit song "Tuck In Yuh Belly" soared to number one spots on various charts throughout the Caribbean and in the United States. Bramma went on to work with Cash Flow producers in Coreyville Gardens, he recorded a track entitled "Star" on the Wumba riddim, the single is creating a buzz in Jamaica. Bramma describes his style as "Pure lyrics with catchy melodies that are appealing largely to teenagers and young adults." The young star has worked with hit making producers such as Steven McGregor, Coppershot, Leftside and Esco, Cash Flow, Ward 21 and UIM and has been getting massive airplay on major radio stations.

Bramma is adamant about shaping his career for the international market "my goal in my music career is to elevate to the status of Sean Paul and beyond." The crafty young talent is quickly spreading his wings internationally. Bramma is confident in his career and his ability and know that for him "THE SKY IS THE LIMIT".
